How Your Relationship Readiness Score Works

The Vetted assessment presents 18 statements about how you actually behave in relationships. Nine are worded positively and nine are reverse-scored, so agreeing with everything doesn't produce a flattering result. Each answer is rated on a five-point agreement scale, giving a total between 18 and 90.

That total maps to one of three readiness badges. The badge is what you see first — the number stays private.

The three badges

• Still Exploring (18–60) — You're still developing clarity, communication skills, and relationship awareness.
• Growing Intentionally (61–75) — You demonstrate healthy relationship habits and are actively growing.
• Ready for Something Real (76–90) — You appear emotionally prepared for a healthy, intentional relationship.

Answering everything "neutral" lands in Still Exploring on purpose. Neutral isn't a readiness signal; it usually means the behavior hasn't been tested yet.

Why an identity instead of a number

A number invites comparison and gaming. Within a week of seeing a score, most people are asking how to raise it rather than what it's telling them. A badge does something different: it gives you language for where you are, and language is what makes reflection and conversation possible.

It also travels. "I'm Growing Intentionally" is something you can say to a friend, and their next question is almost always the useful one: what's yours?

Can your badge change?

Yes, and it should. Readiness is a snapshot of current capacity, not a verdict. Retaking the assessment after a season of real practice — harder conversations, earlier honesty, fewer overlooked red flags — frequently moves the badge.
